Join us for a “New Year of the Trees” Seder and Dinner!
As is our annual tradition we’ll join together for a mystical tour of the “4 Worlds.” In each world, we’ll read poetry, tell stories, and share fruit and nuts and grape juice and wine.
Following the Seder, we’ll share a meal of black bean chocolate chili, cornbread, and dessert.
Please bring your favourite non-perishable (and kosher, if possible) food for the Ottawa Kosher Food Bank bin.
[If you need food, please help yourself from the bin. If you need something that is not there, please let the rabbi know.]
Tu B’Shevat or Tu B’Shvat (Hebrew: ט״ו בשבט) is a minor Jewish holiday, occurring on the 15th day of the Hebrew month of Shevat. It is also called “The New Year of the Trees” or (Hebrew: ראש השנה לאילנות, Rosh HaShanah La’Ilanot). Tu BiShvat is one of four “New Years” mentioned in the Mishnah.
